Ellie began her exploration of yoga 15 years ago. Turning to yoga as a way to help reduce stress from a high pressure career as an obstetrical nurse, but then became very aware that this was to be a life long journey and way more than simply a stress reliever. Now she has dedicated herself to the practice, study and teachings of yoga, completing her 200 hour teacher training in 2012.
Most recently she has completed an additional training of 100 hours, in Yin Yoga. She has also had the privilege and good fortune to study with master teachers such as Sarah Powers, Paul Grilley, and Richard Miller. Continuing to be inspired Ellie is pursuing her education by completing her additional 300 hour teacher training here at Empower ME Yoga with Marla Ericksen.
A constant point of focus of Ellie’s classes is the bridge built between body, mind and spirit, connecting always through the breath. With that as an intention for class, she teaches from her heart, creating an uplifting, safe environment for students to begin or continue to explore the joys and benefits of yoga. Ellie believes that the gifts of yoga flow deeply, allowing you to a find a quiet inner peace.
